Gloria J. Williams-Gary was born August 21, 1941, to Sarah Eugenia Silvers and James Silvers in Asheville, North Carolina. On Tuesday, December 3, 2019 an angel of God stopped by
her residence to escort her home to be with the Lord. Gloria spent her youth in Asheville, North Carolina, where she graduated from Stephens-Lee High School and later relocated to Columbus, Ohio. Gloria retired from Schottenstein Stores Corporation after 33 faithful years of service.
Gloria accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior and was baptized at an early age. She was a very active member of Second Shiloh Baptist Church, where she served as an Usher, a proud member of The Mission and a Deaconess.
In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her sisters Betty (Douglas) Edmondson and Doris Wardlaw.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving and dedicated husband of 33 years, L.V. Gary; sons Ulysses Jr. (Tracy) and Vance (Juana) Williams; grandchildren Deashimikia, Ulyvontra, YaHawnia (Stephanie Whitten) and Aalexis Williams, Takia Joyce, De’Vante Williams, Ma’Khala King ; great grandchildren Tre’Vyohn and Ti’Yahn Williams-Giles, Aiden Taylor and Ava Stevens.
In addition, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends.
