Kevin Marcellus Hickman Sr. was the twin to Marcus T. Hickman born on July 25,1971 to Merle J. Ayers and Haywood Copeland in Columbus, Ohio. Most of his youth he resided on the famous 1122 Hildreth Ave. on the east side of Columbus where he enjoyed his four other Siblings and Cousins as he attended Columbus Public Schools.
As his Grandmother the late Rev. Francine R. Hickman had all of her grandchildren in church two or more times in a week. Kevin then excepted Christ at an early age. Also , humorless, he was nicknamed Thee Rev. Ike because he would always wear his fancy suits while carrying his bible. This would always get “him brownie points with both his Grandparents”. In his later years he became a member of Evangelic Gospel Tabernacle Church Elder Rodney Porter Pastor. Kevin was a devoted Father of three and a Grandfather of 7 whom were the apple of his eye. He also was the loving always present Uncle to 13 nieces and Nephews. Kevin was a jack of all trade from landscaping to cooking. He especially got satisfaction from others enjoying his food.
Kevin transitioned on May 15, 2019 from a fatal car accident. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Roy T. & Rev. Francine R. Hickman; father, Copeland Haywood; brother-in-law, Earl F. Brown; nephew, Charles L. Marsh; cousin, Charles K. Hickman.
He leaves to cherish in his memory, His mother, Merle J. Ayers; daughter, Liberty; son, Kevin M. Jr, daughter, Kevina; sisters, Cynthia Hickman, Lisa Brown, Leroinica Ayers; twin brother, Marcus Hickman Sr. and seven grandchildren all of Columbus, Ohio; uncle, Roy T.
