Lue would like to let you know that her work here is done. She received a call, sort of an offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment with her Heavenly Father, from which she will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a long time.
Lue Hanna (Hoover) Hancock, 84, departed this life on Friday, September 21, 2018 at the Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on Sunday, April 15, 1934 in Birmingham, Alabama She was the daughter of the late Lewis Johnson and Hattie Mae Reese.
Lue was a dedicated and hard worker. She worked for Children’s Hospital for many years before retiring. Lue was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was very proud of her family. Lue loved holidays and family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her. She would spend hours cooking and preparing for her company. She also loved fashion and traveling. If there was a purse or shoes that she wanted, she bought them! No matter the cost. She loved to look good and smell good!
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Hancock, daughter, Linda Jean Underdown, brothers, Alfonso Johnson, Walter Johnson, Tommy Johnson, Richard Johnson Sr., and Frank Johnson, sisters, Maedonia Johnson Evans and Lillian Bowers.
