Roosevelt Quiller Sr. Was born on July 22, 1932 in Thomaston Georgia and left this life on December 11th, 2019.
Roosevelt spent his early years in Thomaston Georgia working various jobs. In his early 20’s Roosevelt migrated to the North by bus or train to find work to support his family. Before settling in Columbus Ohio in the early 1950’s, Roosevelt worked in Wisconsin and Indiana as a migrant worker and cutting timber. Roosevelt was employed at Buckeye Steel, Southern Billiards Supple Company then Federal Glass Company for many years.
Roosevelt enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing tunk. What he enjoyed the most was having barbecues and fish fries and inviting the whole neighborhood. It was said he had the best ribs and fish in town. Sometimes he would even cook a whole hog or goat. Roosevelt was a proud man and said what was on his mind. He was humorous andwould have you cracking up with the things he would say. He loved his family and his friends and never met a stranger. Roosevelt was also generous and would help those in need.
Roosevelt is proceeded in death by father Claudie C. Quiller, mother Ludie M. Quiller. Bothers John Hutcherson, Lucious Quiller, JB Quiller, Oscar Quiller, Sisters Antionette Quiller and Willie B. Drake. Daughter Cathy Diane Harvey, Sons Charlie Smith, Ronnie L. Quiller and Carl M. Quiller.
Roosevelt is survived by Brother Tommy (Adellla) Quiller, sister Virginia Calhone, sons Roosevelt (Valerie) Quiller, Timothy (Carol) Quiller, Daughters Lisa Quiller and Jennifer Quiller.
Roosevelt had a host grandchildren, nephews , nieces cousins and cherished friends.
