St. Julian Simmons, age 87 passed on December 29, 2018 at Grant Medical Center. He proudly served his country as a Marine. He was a Korean Conflict Veteran. He retired from the City of Columbus as a City Engineer after 27 years.
He is preceded in death by parents, Charlie and Mabel Simmons; sister, Adele Stevens, Elnora Simmons Bell and brother, George Simmons.
He is survived by loving wife of 65 years, Esther Simmons; sons, Don Simmons, St. Julian (Vanessa) Simmons, Mark Simmons; daughters, Judy (Lloyd) Frazier, Deborah Simmons, Gwendolyn Fells; grandchildren, Derek A. Simmons, Derrick L. Simmons, Julian B. Simmons, Roderick A. Simmons, Nigel L. (Ashley) Frazier, Kristen D. Fells, Jordan R. Fells, Dana M. Frazier, Justin S. Simmons, Jasmine B. Simmons, Monique L. Frazier, Amari J. Simmons; great grandchildren, Lamartia, Victoria, Tyree, Jaedon, Kiari, Brilei, Maddison, Brooklynn, Braylen, Liam,Tristan, Aaliyah, Jordyn, Anthony; sister, Evelyn Smalls; special brother, Thadeus (Loretta) Brown; and a host of other relatives and friends.
