Talisa Reid

On Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 1985 in Columbus, OH, God blessed Toyna Harris Reid and Donald Holt Reid with a beautiful baby Girl, Talisa Denise, the last of six children. From that day forward, Talisa has left a lasting impression on all who loved her, family and friends.

1985 was the year of the “triplets” for the Harris Family, as Lil Kevin, Talisa, and Antonio, were all born within exactly forty days. And although Talisa was the middle of the three, she was the “Mama of the ’85 Harris triplets” as she made herself the “Boss” of Lil Kevin and Tony.

Talisa excelled as a star athlete in track and volleyball while participating in the ROTC Program at East High School. She modeled for a prominent modeling agency and displayed her infectious smile and personality in commercials for Columbia Gas Company. After high school, Talisa met her first true love Norman and soon after they became parents to their first daughter Nylisa and a few years later, she gave birth to Maryiah Lee. Just when she thought she had adjusted to Motherhood, never to have any more children, she met Anthony and was hit with a double whammy, Ian and Ianna; then three years later, here comes Rosalynne.

Talisa was a tiny little lady with the heart of a giant. She loved everyone and never shied away from showing her affection to anyone, whether she knew you or not. She lit up any room she stepped into with her bubbly personality, and dare we not mention her unforgettable greeting which consisted of her HUGE smile, a BIG hug, a KISS on the cheek, and “Luv You _____”!!!(Fill it in with whatever she called you).

On Tuesday, March 5, 2019 God chose to reclaim his gift to us, in the person of Talisa at 33 years of age. She was preceded to eternal life by her maternal grandparents, Henry and Mary Harris; her Uncle, Howard Harris; and Cousins Tommy Harris and Kevin Harris, the eldest of the ’85 Triplets”.

Leaving to treasure her memory are her Parents: Toyna Harris-Reid and Donald Holt Reid; Fiancé: Anthony Price; Children: Nylisa, Maryiah Lee, Ian, Ianna and Rosalynne; Sisters: Shawndella and Shanta Harris; Brothers: Donald (Amber), Dominic, and Tarron (Shawnda) Reid;  a multitude of nieces and nephews and two great nieces; Aunts: Brenda, Bonnie (Johnnie), Karen, and Pam Harris; Uncles: Stan (India) Harris; Great Uncle: John (Florence) Booker; Great Aunts: Georgia Booker and Alma Booker;  let us not forget her Best Friends Forever – her many, many cousins. Honorary Sisters: Latoya, Lakischa, Stephanie and Tayelore. Please don’t despair if your name is not here, know that it is too many to name, but the love from Talisa is all the same.
