Tameka Ashley Turns was the youngest daughter born to Stephanie Denise and Douglas Anthony Turns on October 30, 1983 in Columbus, Ohio. She attended Linden McKinley High School and always had a great love for the arts.
Tameka was a gifted and talented singer and writer, always sharing her insightful thoughts through poetry. She had the voice of an angel and was soulful and spiritual. Tameka had a heart of gold and would do anything for anybody.
Tameka had a unique way of viewing life. She was always able to see the best in people with her non judgemental style. Tameka was a young woman that truly understood that each person should embrace who they truly are.
On July 25, 2004 Tameka introduced the world to the light of her life, her beautiful daughter Tamea A. Strong. Tameka was a loving caring devoted mother. She dedicated her life to nurturing her daughter to be the best she could be. Tameka always encouraged Tamea's creativity as an artist. She loved her more than anything and always wanted her to be happy and know that she is loved.
Tameka departed this life Sunday October 20, 2019. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Lee Lunceford; grandparents, Daniel and Betty Turns; aunt, Connie Lunceford; uncles, Donald Turns and Marion Burton.
Tameka leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Tamea Strong; mother, Stephanie Lunceford; father, Douglas Turns; grandmother, Brenda Lunceford; sisters, Teonia (Samuel) Hughes, Tiffany Turns, Jessica (William) Panzarella, Asha (Trevon) Doggett; brother Anthony Turns; dear special friend, Mario White; best friend, Teondra Mills; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
