Toya Draughn

TOYA RENEE ROSS (Draughn) was born on October 22, 1969 at St. Ann’s Hospital to the late Judith Ann Ross (Ransom) and Roy Frederick Ross.

Toya departed this life on November 19, 2019 in Columbus, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Everette and Lila Roberts; mother, Judith Ransom; son, Devante Penn and first born grandson, Demetreon Penn.

Toya is survived by her three children, Mercedes (Timothy), Lavelle and Alexa; her two grandchildren, Demarius and Tariq; her father, Roy Ross; three sisters, Anika (DeEllis), Monique, Rachel, a host of nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephews and extended family.

Toya was the oldest of four girls. Growing up she attended South, Independence and North Adult, where she would later receive her high school diploma, throughout her four years of high school. Toya maintained a 4.0 GPA. Toya worked as quality assurance at the United State Post Office in Grove City. Toya enjoyed spending time with her kids, grandchildren and close family.
