Aaron Emmanuel Watkins was born on June 29, 1994, in OSU Hospital of Columbus, Ohio, to a loving mother, Robin Fisher, and Raefield Watkins. Aaron was loved by many but was blessed to have a bonus mom, Leslie “Cookie” Terry, who he lovingly referred to as “Auntie Cookie”. The first word Aaron spoke as a child was “Cookie”. In 2009, God blessed him with a bonus dad and mentor, Pastor Emmanuel Anthony, who loved Aaron as his own. Look at God!
Those who knew Aaron, knew he loved three things: He loved food, the richer, the better; The Ohio State Buckeyes football team; and last but not least, he loved God! Aaron received Christ into his life with the evidence of speaking in tongues on May 2, 2010. In 2013, he graduated from FCI Academy and attended college briefly before falling in love with entrepreneurship going on to set up and operate multiple successful businesses. Everyone, after speaking with Aaron, would marvel at the level of knowledge he seemed to possess at such a young age.
On June 16, 2023, Aaron’s season came to an end on this side of glory. We will love and miss him until we meet again. Aaron was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents whom he loved, Emmanuel and Frances Watkins, and maternal grandfather, Bobby L. Jones.
He leaves to cherish his memory: children, Landyn Averette, Aubrey Watkins, Xavien Scott, and DaLani Cantrell; mother, Robin Fisher; father Raefield (Linda) Watkins; grandparents, Minister Dorothy (Michael) Augustine; siblings, Raefield Watkins, Jr., Brandi Watkins, and Deidra Watkins; bonus parents, Leslie (Cookie) Terry, Pastor Emmanuel Anthony; as well as a host of beloved aunties, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins too numerous to name.
