Our beloved Ada Lou Tucker, also known as Mom to many,
was born March 20, 1943. She was born in Jackson, Georgia.
She was raised by her adoptive parents, Georgia Stephens and
Whit eld Stephens. She moved to Columbus, Ohio when she
became an adult and met her soulmate Roosevelt Tucker.
married on October 31, 1981,
Ada came to Ohio and built a life for herself and her three
daughters Grace Smith, Leoner Davis and Timothia Holley.
She worked many years in the Nursing eld caring for people.
To know Ada was to love Ada. She never met a stranger.
She had such a big heart and cared for everyone. Ada was a
strong woman with an even stronger faith. She enjoyed going
to church, shopping, and cooking for her family. She was
the foundation and glue for her family. She would extend a
helping hand whether it was money, clothes, a listening ear, or
even a prayer. Nothing would stop Ada from making sure that
her children, grandchildren, neighbors or even a stranger had
support in their time of need.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Leoner Davis;
siblings, Robert Stephens and JoAnne Bryson; and twin great-
grands, Jeremiah and Jemere Nelson.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her soulmate, Roosevelt
Tucker; daughters, Grace Smith and Timothia Holley (Greg
Holley); and a host of grands, great-grands, and great-great
grands.
In Ada’s favorite words were “God got me!” So, while we
mourn Ada’s presence, just remember God’s got you,
