Alberta was born Dec. 20, 1956 to Thelma Lynch Jemison and William Hoover Jemison Sr. She was raised by her aunt Willie Mae and Uncle Tom W. Dye Sr. They moved to Columbus OH in 1968 where she attended Champion Middle School and Mohawk High School class of 1975 where she served as a majorette in the band. She went on to Ohio Business College and was employed for the State of Ohio at the Bureau of Worker's Compensation. She retired in 2010.
She received Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age and everyone who came in contact with her were unconditionally loved. She was strong willed, and very determined and had a mouth that could scorn your very soul IF tempted. It was her way or no way at all.. or face the consequences if you dare. Alberta is proceeded in death by her birth mother and father Thelma Lynch and William Hoover Jemison and also Willie Mae and Tom W. Dye Sr. Also preceeded in death are her siblings Ottis Jemison, Willie Jemison, William Hoover Jemison Jr, and Baby sister name unknown.
Alberta leaves behind to cherish her memory siblings Margaret (Charles) Jackson, Mary Alice (Sonny) Young, Barbara Jackson, Clarence (Linda) Jemison, Karen Scales, Mary Charles (Gary) Wilson, Tom W. Dye Jr. and Ex-husband Daniel L. Johns Sr. She leaves her best love and memories to cherish her son Daniel Lee Johns and daughter Doniqueca LeNelle Johns. Her granddaughter Domanique Lei Johns. Along with Robert and Joseph White and the White family. Special friends and cousins Rolena Perry, Faye Washington, Linda Boston, Pam Taylor and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Daniel and Doniqueca would like to acknowledge and express nothing but LOVE for all of the calls, texts, prayers, shared memories and expressions of love that has been offered up. We love each and every one of you in this time of grief.
