Antonio Sears, Sr.

Antonio Quinn Sears, Sr., “Monster,” was born on June 8, 1971, to the union of Randolph Sr. and Barbara Sears in Columbus, Ohio. He departed this life surrounded by close family and friends on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at the OSU Ross Heart Hospital.  Antonio, a husband, father, brother, cherished family member, and faithful friend, received Christ at an early age and was baptized at Triedstone Missionary Baptist Church in Columbus, Ohio, where he also served on the Junior Deacon Board. In his adult life, he was baptized at Union Grove Baptist Church in Columbus, Ohio. Antonio’s life was a testament to love, strength, resilience, and unwavering dedication to those he held dear.  He grew up on the East Side of town in the “Mt. Vernon” area.

He attended and received his education from the Columbus public school system. He was a “jack” of all trades and could fix anything with his hands. He worked for the Columbus public school system before deciding to become an entrepreneur and go into business for himself. He owned and operated several businesses throughout the years: A&M Construction and jazz club and restaurant in the Mt. Vernon area, “Pazzaz,” which he built by hand. He and his wife owned and operated a beauty shop in the early 90s in Whitehall, Ohio. His last business venture which he was extremely fond and proud of was a paddle boat company, “See Columbus.” He enjoyed being the life of the party and trying to ensure everyone was taken care of, so he will truly be missed by many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Randolph Sr. and Barbara Sears; and maternal grandparents, John and Mattie Maxwell.

Antonio was a man of strength whose greatest joy came from his family. He shared a beautiful life with his beloved devoted wife of 37 years together until his last breath. Together, they raised two wonderful children and created countless memories filled with laughter, faith, perseverance, and unconditional love. He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Myisha Sears; son, Antonio Quinn Sears, Jr. (AJ); daughter, Morgan Sears; brother, Randolph Jr.; sister, Michelle Sears; aunt/mom, Joan Maxwell; mother- in-law, Yvonne Pardon; brother-in-law, Terron Banner; nephew, DeWayne Bower; niece, Michaela Oats; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends whose lives were forever enriched by knowing him. To know Antonio was to know kindness, loyalty, and compassion. He had a generous heart, a warm smile, and a spirit that made others feel welcomed and valued. He was someone who could be counted on to offer encouragement, wisdom, and love whenever it was needed. Although his passing leaves an immeasurable void, his legacy will live on through the lives he touched, and though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in God’s promise that we will one day be reunited. Until that day, we will honor him by living with the same love, strength, and generosity that defined his life. We find comfort in knowing that the memories we shared and the lessons he taught will continue to guide us each day. He fought a good fight and kept the faith until he finished his course.
