Antonio Germaine Smith

A life measured not by the years he lived, but by the love he gave.

Antonio "Tone" Smith was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, brother, uncle, cousin,and friend whose presence brought comfort, laughter, and strength to those around him. His
journey on this earth was marked by perseverance, compassion, loyalty, and an unwavering love for his family.

Born on January 2, 1971, in Columbus, Ohio, at Saint Ann's Hospital, Antonio grew into a man whose character reflected integrity, determination, and kindness. Whether he was helping others
through his work, spending time with family, or making friends laugh with one of his jokes, Antonio had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and loved.  Antonio believed in the value of education and worked hard to achieve his goals. He graduated from Columbus State Community College in 2003 with an Associate Degree in Business Administration. He continued his academic journey and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Franklin University in 2006. His determination and work ethic led him to a successful career with UnitedHealthcare, where he served as a Healthcare Advocate, helping others navigate their healthcare needs with compassion and professionalism.

Outside of work, Antonio enjoyed reading, watching football, sharing jokes and laughter with friends, going out to eat, and spending quality time with those he loved. A devoted Dallas Cowboys
fan, some of his happiest moments were spent relaxing at home, watching television with family, and creating memories that will be cherished forever.

Antonio was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Nancy J. Smith; his grandmother, Edna M. White-Smith; his grandparents, James and Jessie Smith; his uncle, Richard D. Smith; and his
paternal uncles, Jimmy G. Hayes and John W. Hayes.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife and soulmate, April James-Smith; his beloved children, Jayla J. Smith, Jaden G. Smith, and Briseus A.K. Smith; and his bonus children, Tyler
Tarleton and Elgin Griffin II.  Antonio is also survived by his loving sister, Bianca S. Smith; his brother, Everett "Erk" Smith; his cherished niece, Makaiah "Peachy" Smith; his aunts, Elaine Smith and Jeanie Smith; and a host of loving cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.  On his father's side, Antonio leaves behind his father, Tony Hayes; his aunts, Katherine "Kat" Hayes, Cindy Hayes, and Regina Hayes (and her husband, Brian); his uncles, Dennis Hayes (and his wife, Eva Hayes), Henry Hayes (and his wife, Monique Hayes), and Charles Hayes, whose
beloved wife, Laura, preceded him in death; and his siblings, Taleia Hayes, Charisma D. Hayes, Charisma R. Hayes, AdriAnne Hayes, Tony Hayes, Shameia Hayes, James Hayes, Jimmie Hayes
Jr., and Amanda Hayes, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and members of the Hayes family.
