Asriel Adaiah Swain was born on August 31, 1991 to Apostle Anita Swain, and Kendrick King in Cincinnati, OH. Asriel loved to sing. She would sing on her mother’s Bible teaching program called Joy in the Wilderness. Asriel was only three years old when she started singing on the local cable television program. She won two awards from local agencies for inspiring other young people to have the courage to fulfill their dream. She sung on the local television program from 1993-1998. When she moved to Columbus, OH at the age of five years old, Asriel was baptized, and received the Holy Ghost at BibleWay Church under the leadership of Bishop William C Latta. Asriel continued to help her mother with Joy in the Wilderness Ministries by being a Board member, singing in the choir, ushering, write poems for special occasions, being an armor bearer to her mother, and she preaches her trial sermon at the age of twelve years old. While attending high school, Asriel graduated Columbus State Community College for Carpentry. Her first job was to refinish the benches at St Thomas on Cassidy Ave. The priest was impressed with her work. Later Asriel worked at a furniture store on Parsons Ave where she refinished furniture. She worked for the store on and off until 2016. Asriel graduated from JobCorp in Cleveland, OH where she received training as a Medical Assistant. She later attended Ohio Christian University where she received a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Asriel continued her love of music by rapping and spoken word. She has music on SoundCloud, studio work, and performed at various venues. Asriel had an online food critic show on YouTube. Asriel was working on her shoe line, Savage, and had just finished her protype at the time of her death.
She is proceeded in her death by her grandmothers, Evangelist Walta Mae Swain, and Jurry Roberts, Grandfather, Apostle Leon Swain, great uncles, Great grandmother, Florine Gay, great uncles, Raymond Gay, and Warren Swain,
She leaves to mourn, her dad, Kendrick King, mother, Apostle Anita Swain, her brother, Jeremiah Swain-Milton, her step dad, Maurice Milton, aunt, Cheryl Brown, a host of great aunts, and great uncles including: Joyce King, Connie Swain, Amanda Dobson, Baptiste Swain, Ruth Swain. A host of cousins including Eugene Wise, Regina & Renee Gurton, Michelle Dobson Ford, Toya King, and Todd King.
She has people she has adopted to be her family- auntie, Prophetess Tonya Keaton, sibling, Khai Morris, adopted kids-Knowledge Turner, LaRose Morgan, and JJ Morgan. Asriel had numerous friends she seen as family. Her special friend, Tarvaris C Jones.
