Bessie Majors Obituary

Bessie Mae Majors, 84 entered into eternal peace on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at her residence.

She was born in Williamson, West Virginia on April 20, 1936 to parents, Charlie and Rosalee Murphy.

Bessie loved to spend time with  her family. She loved to cook, play cards, listen to music, serve and worship the Lord. She faithfully served at the P.A.T.H. Ministries. Johnny L. Griffin, Pastor and Uncle. Bessie transitioned into a glorious reunion with her parents, Charlie and Rosalee Murphy; ex-husband, James Majors; brothers, Charles Murphy, Jr., Nick Nicholas, Lorenzo Howard; sister, Barbara Sue King.

Bessie’s legacy will continue to live on through her children, Rosalyne (Clarence) Majors, Marlene (Sean) Jones, James W. Majors, Jr. and step daughter, Sharon (Majors) Chambers; sisters, Gloria Howard, Dreama Slappy; brother, Pastor Clayton (Brenda) Howard, cousin, Sadie (Harry) Cox, uncle, Johnnie (Janice) Griffin and lifetime friend, Jessie Nichols.

Bessie often doted on her 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; favorite niece, Lawrenceene Howard.

Bessie Mae was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, niece, cousin and friend. In her daily life she exhibited so much strength, wisdom, ambition, coverage and love. Bessie was dearly loved and will truly be missed. She will be remembered in the hearts and mind forever.
