In life, we loved you dearly. In death, we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place no one will ever fill.
Heaven gained an angel on Friday, March 11, 2022, when Ms. Beverly Lynn Preston entered eternal rest. Beverly, lovingly known as “Lynn,” was born in Lancaster, Ohio on December 11, 1949. She attended Lancaster High School, where she received her diploma as a member of the class of 1967. Lynn worked and retired from The Ohio Rehabilitation Commission. She was also a member of The Good Shepherd Baptist Church.
Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Margret Preston, and beloved great-grandson, Sherod Cooley-Gibbs.
She leaves to mourn her passing: her only child, Niccole Preston; her grandchildren, Akili Preston (Margarita who is expecting a baby boy), Angle Cooley, Tajuanna Cooley, and Clarissa Cooley; great-grandchildren, Payton Preston and Sharzelle Lewis; her siblings, Donald and Patricia Preston; niece, Thea Preston, and nephews, Michael and Christopher Preston; and a host of other friends and family.
People with a good sense of humor have a better sense of life. Well, Lynn loved life, her friends, and most of all her family. Her sense of humor was one of a kind, and she always found a way to make you laugh no matter what you were going through. She was an avid animal lover who loved her pets, Rico, Sophia, and Jet dearly. One of her favorite pastimes was gardening. Lynn was an exceptional gardener, and she loved to share her homegrown produce. She also loved cooking and going out to eat. She was well known for vegetable soup. Her favorite way to start the day was with her morning cup of coffee and conversation with her daughter. Lynn made an impact on so many lives. She was passionate, loving, and funny.
Lynn, you will be truly missed. We will hold you in our hearts until we can hold you again in
