Bonnetta “Netta” Harris was born January 30, 1960, in Columbus, Ohio. She was the baby of seven children born to Elnora Woods and has four siblings with father Soloman Elonza Armster.
She was peacefully called home to be with the Lord on September 24, 2024, at the age of 64 years young. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend who loved her family. She loved and lived life on her own terms, and she used her life as a cautionary example, as she would instruct loved ones “Don’t’ be like me, be better than me.”
No matter what she was going through, she had a unique way of making her daughters and the women in her life know that she believed in them and encouraged them by telling them they were her “pretty girls,” whenever she could.
Bonnetta Harris is preceded in death by her husband, Robby Lee Harris, Sr., parents Elnora Woods and Soloman Elonza Armster. Daughters Wanikee Peaks, Sabrina Jackson, and son Orlando Harris, brothers Ulysses Woods, John Woods, and sisters Inez Teague and Bertha Hale.
Leaves to cherish her memories, her daughters Cheina Baker (Juan Baker), Lynndell Harris, Niceta Baker, and sons Robby Harris and Tylee Pettiford. Grandchildren Austin Baker, Robert Jackson, Emmanuel Jackson, Sequoia Jackson, Kadijah Jackson, Antonio Jackson, Miikilo Jackson, Tahjonee Glaze, Krystn Harris-Cates, Christopher Cates-Harris, Krystyna Harris, Lorenzo Pettiford, and Lyfe Pettiford. Siblings Melvina Smith and brother Joseph Woods, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Bonnetta’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, may she rest in peace.
