Brandon L. Bennett, age 47, was born April 7, 1974, to Willie Bennett and Deborah Smith in Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated from New Creations Chapel in Richmond, Indiana, where he excelled in broadcast and media. He went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 3, 2022.
While Brandon was at New Creations Chapel, he hosted an evening radio talk show, leading discussions with his peers about hot topics such as current events, music, lifestyle, and most importantly the love of Christ.
In the early ‘90s, Brandon returned back home to Cincinnati, Ohio, where he earned quite the following of neighborhood friends who ultimately became like his family. Brandon was always the life of the party and always stood out amongst his peers.
Although Brandon stood out amongst all who knew him, he was not without flaws. Yet the seed of Christ planted in him at an early age by his father, Pastor Willie C. Bennett, would always bring him back to the cross.
Brandon was an avid reader and was full of wisdom and knowledge. No one will ever know all the books he’s read; but we all know his favorite book was the Word of God! He also enjoyed music of all genres, his Cincinnati Bengals, and celebrating life with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Charles Bennett; mother, Deborah Smith; grandparents, Anna Mae and Arthur Smith; his grandfather, Charles Willie Bennett; grandmother, Viola Bennett (Grandma Boots); brother, Charles T. Smith; nephew, Christopher R. Bennett II (CJ); and other aunts and uncles.
Brandon is survived by his son, Brandon Smith; daughters, LaKesha Denkins and LaNijah Banner Bennett; grandchildren, Bri’Ailah Smith, Brooklynne Smith, Brandon Smith II, LaMyrah Denkins, LaEvelyn Anderson, LaTrus Anderson, and LaMir Denkins; brothers, Christopher (Taquilla) Bennett, Corey (Sheila) Bennett, Micah Bennett, and Willie Bennett; sisters, Tracie Smith, LaKeisha White, and Nikoia Bennett; and a host of aunts, uncles, other family members, extended family, and friends.
