Brian Allen Tucker was born on August 24, 1966 to Elizabeth Tucker and Robert Welch, Jr., in Pittsburgh, Pennyslvania. In 1979, Brian, his mother, and his siblings moved to Columbus,Ohio. Brian was educated in the Columbus public schools where he met most of his lifelong friends.
Brian, most often called Tuck, worked various jobs but he was most passionate about his music and even became a DJ in the ‘90s. Brian loved everyone whether he knew them for years
or just a moment; he never met a stranger. His family was the center of his world. He was the “cool” dad, the one you could talk to, laugh with, and hang with, but he would always let you
know, “I’m still your dad.” Brian loved his family so much. He fathered five kids but was a dad to many. He played a huge part in children’s lives, even if they weren’t his biological children, from stepchildren to nieces and nephews as well as friend’s children. He had such an infectious smile and kind heart. Brian was a kid at heart with his love of dogs, cartoons, and superheroes. He even referred to himself as BATMAN because of his initials B.A.T. Just like Batman, Brian was admirable, inspirational, strong, and stood tall to any battle life threw his way.
Brian was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Tucker; father, Robert Welch, Jr.; brothers, Gregory and Kenneth “Kenny Baker” Tucker; and grandson, Kenneth Gaston, Jr. Brian is survived by: his wife, Denise Tucker; children, Bryan Tucker, Chris (Jalisa) Tucker, Lashawna Tucker, Anthony (Keyaira) Tucker, and Yolanda (Elijah) Tucker; bonus children, Larry and Daryl Sullivan, Casey Jennings, Quinton Wall, and Candice Morgan; godchildren, Kamisha Walker, Bridget Seals, and Ty’Yanna Williams; grandchildren, Jeremiah, Nehemiah, and Janiyah Gaston, Christopher, Janelle, and Bryson Tucker, Donavan Jones, Anthony Jr., Keyaira, and Keyonna Tucker; siblings, Doris and Clarence Tucker; bonus brother, Earl Morgan; along with a host of bonus grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many more people who he held close to his heart.
