Bryan Keith Morris Jr., was born to Robbyn Smith and the late Bryan Keith Morris Sr., on August 9, 1984 at Doctors North Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Bryan was a rambunctious child curious about everything. Whom loved being outside playing and chasing his baby brother around. Bryan loved being a big brother he embraced his roll as a big brother. 

 

When he arrived in Columbus, OH from California, he attended Crestview middle & Indinaola Middle, attended secondary school at South High & Whetstone High school, he later attend Job Corps in Dayton, Ohio where he earned his Culinary Certificate cultivating his love and passion to culinary arts. 

To know Bryan was to love him. Known by family and close friends as “Squirt” and to friends as “BJ”.  He was an intelligent free spirited man who was a masculine protector, provider, charmer, romantic, confident man with an infectious personality and a smile that you couldn’t miss in a room. Bryan loved cooking and working the fair every year. He loved to laugh and quote movie scenes with his brother and friends, it was like their own language at times. He loved to all play basketball, football, skate, music. Bryan was a true north-sider, he loved repping the north-side of Columbus growing up primarily on the 1500 block of Minnesota Ave and off 4th Street in the Short North. BJ loved being a father and uncle to his kids, uncle to nephews, godfather and big cousin, you knew if you left your kids with him they were protected, feed and loved.

He was preceded in by his father Bryan K Morris Sr., grandparents Andrew & Joan Morris, great-grand parents Alton & Betty Smith, many uncles and aunts.

He is survived by his loving children: Na’Liyah Hodge and Dezjhuan Courtney, mother: Robbyn(Clinton)Otis, Brother: Brandon(Christina) Morris, Grandmother: Jodelle Adkins, Uncle: Michael(Shuntell) Smith, Nephews: Allen Morris, Jayzon Morris, Best friends: Derek Alston, Erick Brown, cousin-sisters: Sherrell Mallory, Mahogany Morris, and many cousins, relatives and friends.
