Calvin Eugene Greene was born on March 13, 1958, in Columbus, Ohio.
Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, Carrie Greene and Sylevester Herrell; daughter, Lanithyia Miller; sisters, Edna and Vannessa (Greene); and brothers, Clifford, Roger, Vincent, and
Sherman (Greene). He is survived by his daughter, Octavia Ervin; sisters, Amelia White and Janet Greene; fiancée, Shereda Cain; and granddaughters, Lanaija, Laniya, Lakiya, and Blessing (Miller); as well as two great-grandsons.
Calvin also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews spanning three generations and valued close friends that are considered family.
Calvin will forever be known for his pure heart, quick wit, and genuine lust for life. As a brother he was respectful and over protective, as a Father was honest and present, and as an overall human Calvin was loving, insightful, and loud.
Although we grieve his physical loss, let us always be reminded of how Calvin’s presence made us feel, because these memories will make up his legacy moving forward. He loved each of us enough for us to have a little to give to someone else. He was insightful enough to us for us to teach each other things now, and he was bold and loud enough that we will always hear his voice in the wind to remind us of him.
