Calvin White was born on February 1, 1958, to the late Cornelius White, Sr., and Mary Louis White. He was born in Uniontown, Alabama. Calvin became a Christian at an early age and continued to acknowledge his faith throughout his life. His family moved to Columbus, Ohio, when he was young.
Calvin attended Lexington Elementary, Monroe Junior High, and Linden McKinley High School. He attended and graduated from mechanic school with a certified mechanic license, and he retained a job at UPS until he relocated to Talladega, Alabama. Calvin loved working with his hands and playing basketball.
Calvin became a father at an early age to three beautiful children whom he loved, Calvin, Cannon, Mary, as well as a bonus son Raymond Dawson, whom he assisted in raising. Calvin loved his family, and he loved spending time with his sisters and brothers. He also spent a lot of time with his mother before her passing. Calvin had a special bond with his baby brothers, Joseph and Glenn White, and he loved talking to his nieces and nephews.
Calvin was preceded in death by his oldest brother, Cornelius “The Mighty Bo” White Jr., and brothers-in-law, Isaac Bullock and Paul Clark.
After battling with a long illness, Calvin departed this life on August 31, 2022, while at home with his baby brother, Glenn White.
Calvin leaves his love to: his four children, Calvin Jr., Cannon, Mary and Raymond; three brothers, Bobby (Stacey), Joseph (Nancy), and Glenn; five sisters, Maxine, Maggie, Mattie, Naomi, and Carrie; 10 grandchildren and more, Calvin lll (Mook), Christina, Cannon Jr., Caynon, Kyon, Candice, Cannia, Kanaya, Caden, and Legacy; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
