Carnal Mixon Jr.

Carnal (Lil Troy) Mixon, Jr., son of Zeddra Mann and Carnal Mixon II was born on December 22, 2006. Lil Troy went home to be with the Lord on October 4, 2024.

For 17 years, the Lord allowed us to be mesmerized by Lil Troy’s charm and unparalleled sense of humor. He had a passion for music, and as a result of his deep passion for music, Troy and his extended brothers from another mother spent most of their time in the studio. In each studio session, the meticulous ways he laid those words on paper showed his strength and courage.  His lyrics matched his passion for anything he put his mind to. 

He loved his family and friends. His unwavering strength shined brightly until his peaceful sunset. He was a well-loved son, grandson, brother, uncle, and friend. He was well-known throughout the city for being a talented and gifted musician. He will be immensely missed.

He impacted so many lives with his impressionable skills and behavior. He was stolen from us too early. Lil Troy was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Wellington
Jones, Sr., Meredith Jones, Willie Mann, Carnal Mixon I, and Ida Mixon; grandfathers, Zeddie Mann and Carter Moore; and brother, Michael Taylor.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Zeddra Mann; father, Carnal Mixon II; sister, Zeddra Mixon II; brothers, Isaiah Mixon and Aarius Mixon; grandmothers, Dorothy Sutton and Rosalyn Mixon; aunts, Zedminka Walters, Sparkle Watson, Tish Mann, and Rasheeda Stevens; uncles, Zeddrick Mann and Cleopheus Rumph; great-grandmother, Christine Mann Willis; girlfriend, Aniya Henry-Harris; godmother, Melissa Lauderdale; and a host of aunts, uncles, godsiblings, cousins, and other family and friends.
