Cathy Green

Cathy Marie Cousins Green departed this life in Columbus, Ohio, at the age of sixty-four on December 27, 2022, after an extended illness. Cathy was born January 24, 1958, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to the late Kenneth “Pete” and Katherine (Steward) Cousins, Sr. Cathy attended Adena Local School District and graduated with honors in 1976. After graduation from high school, Cathy attended college and later became an employee of the Federal Government at the Defense Supply Center Columbus (DSCC) in Whitehall, Ohio. Cathy met the love of her life, Malcolm T. Green, and to that union two beautiful daughters, Alea and Angela, were born. Cathy retired July 2020 after thirty-nine years of Federal Service.

Cathy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She had the biggest heart and she always believed in paying it forward, especially when it came to those who were less fortunate. Cathy was a dedicated Girl Scout Troop Leader for many years. She was an avid crafter, creating greeting cards, ceramics, and dolls. She could create some amazing products. One of Cathy’s greatest joys was her grandson, Donovan.

Cathy was preceded in death by grandparents, Walter and Mary Belle Cousins and John and Anna Mae Steward; parents, Kenneth “Pete,” Sr., and Katherine Cousins; sisters, Mary Ann Wingo and Barbara Jean Beatty; brothers, Kenneth, Jr., and Warren and Michael Cousins; and brothers-in-law, Charles and Michael Green.

Cathy was survived by: her loving husband, Malcolm; daughters, Alea and Angela Green; grandson, Donovan Green, all of Columbus, OH; siblings, Edward (Sylvia) of Westerville, OH, Garry Cousins of Cincinnati, OH, and Marcia Cousins of Whitehall, OH; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Cousins of Westerville, OH, and Joan Cousins of Chillicothe, OH; mother-in-law, Joyce Green; brothers-in-law, Dwayne and Stacy (Claudia) Green; sisters-in-law, Sonya and Charlotte Green, and Marcia Glass, all of Columbus, OH; and a host of beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
