Cheryl Brown

Cheryl Elaine Brown was born in Columbus, Ohio, on November 9, 1959. She was a beloved member of the Columbus community who passed away on July 16, 2024, at age 64.

Cheryl deeply loved her family and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age. She was known for her “keeping it real” personality and outgoing spirit. Cheryl enjoyed music and dancing and especially enjoyed time with her grandchildren.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dorothy (John) Rich and Ralph Miller; stepfather, Albert Pannell; nephew, Carlos Woods; and niece, Brittany Brown.

Cheryl was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her mother, Barbara Tylene Pannell; four wonderful children, Robin (James) Willis, Karima (Jimmy) Tyson, Gary (Miranda) Reese, and Dorothy Ivery; sisters, Crystal Brown, Carla Brown, and Cherri (Cedrick) Collins; eleven grandchildren, Myonna Reese, Daja McClendon, MaKayla Reese, Timothy McIntyre, Gary Reese, Ernest West, Abigail Tyson, Addison Tyson, Jackson Willis, Jace Willis, and Emerson Nai-Tete; as well as a host of nieces and nephews, bonus daughters, and friends.

Cheryl Brown will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she has touched with her kindness and love. May she rest in heavenly peace.
