CHRISTOPHER SCOTT BRIGGS, age 50, passed away suddenly on January 16, 2022. Christopher, lovingly known as “Wink,” was a native of Forest City, North Carolina. He moved to Ohio at an early age and planned on moving back to North Carolina. Christopher Scott Briggs was one of the “Greatest Dads Ever.” He loved his kids, his family, and friends. He was definitely a “character,” which was also a name he would use to describe others. He loved to cook and feed everyone. He loved going out to eat and trying new restaurants. He loved treating his family and friends to lunch and dinner at fine dining restaurants. He was a gambler and loved going to the racetrack to bet on the horses. Wink loved to dress, dance, and entertain others. He also loved music and would sit and listen to a song over and over if it was something he was going through in the song. He listened to every genre of music from R&B and rap to Gospel and country. He was definitely a momma’s boy growing up and would always lecture our mother about her makeup but would cry when she would leave. He loved his family and friends and would always try to encourage and lift them up if they were down. His grandkids and his daughter were his pride and joy. He loved visiting North Carolina and spending time with his family. He loved watching good movies with his family and friends.
He was also an avid sports fan and loved the Cincinnati Reds. He would listen to them on the radio if he couldn’t watch them on television. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and would cry if they would lose when he was little. He was also a diehard Buckeyes fan. He loved watching the game with his sister, Mia.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Kecia Petty of Henrietta, North Carolina.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Bernadine Briggs Adams; his father, William Hamilton of North Carolina; sisters, Mia Briggs, Lisha Logan, and Wyshenia Davis of North Carolina; brothers, Marquan Briggs, James Briggs, Curtis Hamilton (Karen), Aaron Hamilton, Gerard Mills, Jonathan Hamiel, and Chris Bristol, all of North Carolina; daughter, Breanne Dillion (James Reeves); sons, Tobias Perry, Christian Dillion, and Marquis Dillion; grandsons, Ji’Quez and Sincere Reeves, and granddaughter, Madison Dillion; special nephews, Tyquam and Khaseem Briggs; a lifetime partner and
Mother of children, Annie Dillion; and a host of loving relatives and best friends.
