Corey Miguel Johnson

Corey Johnson entered into this world as a blessing on June 29th, 1979, in Columbus, Ohio to his loving parents Johnnie and Sandra Johnson. 

Corey Johnson received Christ at an early age under the direction of Bishop Joseph White at the Pool of Bethesda Church of the Living God International Inc.   He then joined the Temple of Faith Church of God In Christ where he served under the Late Bishop Roger James Hairston Sr., as his armor bearer and sung in the best choir there is on this side of heaven.  He finished his course under the direction of Pastor Charles A Montgomery where he served as his armor bearer/security and was honored to do so. He loved God and the Church! 

Corey is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, L.M. and Viola Johnson, and John and Virginia Holland and his oldest Brother Elder Kelly Johnson.  

He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife Carletta Johnson, his devoted children Da'Shaun (Cassidy) Johnson, Da'Juan Johnson, Da'Mario Johnson.  His loving Parents Johnnie and Sandra Johnson, Mother in Love Deborah Pitts, his Brother Minister Michael (Tamara) Johnson, John Odoms, Darrell Sumlin, Sisters Valissa Sumlin, Sonya Johnson, Kelly Brown.  A Host of nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and friends. 

Corey loved life and family.  He fought hard to make sure the legacy he left was good and honorable.  

Corey departed this life on March 9, 2026, at 4:43 A.M. to be with the Lord.  He will be greatly missed, but we are confronted by the word:  My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever Psalms 73:26.
