Da'Join Whitney

Da’Join Damir Whitney was born June 8, 1995, and departed this life after such a short time on March 27, 2022.

We pause to honor such a great life. We celebrate his strength, his talent, and his love for his family. DaeDae’s journey was pursued with love. The road was challenging at times, but he persevered with smiles and humor and love. DaeDae had a kind spirit; he always found a way to make people smile. His laugh was infectious, and his heart was pure. He will be truly missed.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Erica R. Whitney, brothers, Savon L. Ligon and Thomas D. Dortch, and grandfather, Arliss Whitney, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his brother, Keon’ta Whitney (Keenae Butler), grandmothers, Kimberly Whitney and Mary Dortch, aunt, Ebony Whitney, and a host of other aunts, as well as
uncles and cousins.
