David Carson

DAVID CARSON gained his wings peacefully Sunday, September 11, 2022, surrounded by family. He was born on November 20, 1964, to Willette Hurt and James J. Carson in Gary, Indiana.

David grew up in Gary, Indiana, and attended Gary Roosevelt High School. He held many positions of employment including, but not limited to, maintenance and security.  In 2015, David relocated to Columbus, Ohio. In recent years, David was the primary caregiver for his adoring mother, Willette, which was a job he took very seriously.

Music was David’s favorite hobby. He enjoyed playing the drums and bass guitar.  Throughout his life, music was always his passion and his way of expressing himself with friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his father, James J. Carson, and brother, Jimmy J. Carson.

David is survived by his son, Brandon Carson of Gary, IN, loving mother, Willette Hurt of Columbus, OH, siblings, Maurice Hurt of Nashville, TN, and Kimberly Valentine of Whitehall, OH, along with many adored nephews, nieces, and cousins.

He will truly be missed by family, friends, and neighbors.
