David Hudson, also known as “Golden,” the man of many things, was a one of a kind stand up guy. He was a son, a brother, a father, a cousin, an uncle, and a grandfather, and most of all he was a good person. He traveled the world experiences places that some have only dreamed. He loved his family and friends and even the people whom he came across. Some called him
mean, others called him a man that taught them things.
He really enjoyed every second of his life; he loved spending time with his grandkids, sisters, cousins, and extended family members. We do not mourn, but we celebrate the life, the type of
person who he was. We all have our ups and downs in life, mainly he was up and moving, always on the go. We all have great and fond memories with him, and today we all should vow to only remember the good times. May the legacy of Golden live on.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Mary Hudson. He leaves to cherish his memories: five children, David Waddell Hudson Cassell, Dolores Cassell, Keisha Miles, Dontae Miles, and Mytoria Booth; sisters, Beatrice K. Hudson, Barbara Sullivan, and Sharonneta Jones; fourteen grandchildren, David Cassell, Dahlia Hudson, Antonio Chatman, J’vontia Cassell, Mykela Cassell, Yazmyn Cassell, Kanderan Cassell, Rianna Miles-Stewart, Ranaya Miles-Stewart, Tywanna Booth, Ty’jan Booth, Trayreeka Booth, Mytoria Booth, and Jaide Booth; and a host of cousins, the Longs, the Paytons, and the Williams.
