David Leroy Turner, Jr., better known as “Dave,” 32, was born on October 8, 1989, at Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, to Paulette Smith and David Turner, Sr. He graduated from Northland High School. His passion was cutting hair; his first employment was at Apple G’s Barbershop. where he mentored under Mr. Ricky Duckett. He also was a long-time employee at Dairy Queen and Chase.
David was such a loving, caring, and respectful man who was known for his stylish fashion. That man loved his Burberry; he could tell you about the latest brand, shoes, or style. Let him tell you he was the flyest guy around. Don’t forget about his skills in the kitchen; everyone loved his lasagna recipe - if you never tasted it, you definitely missed out. David also loved his cars, from his old schools to new schools. Especially his GT 5.0 mustang, he loved to show off with his burnouts.
David was a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandson, and friend. He was also the protector of his family. David - “when you thought God wasn’t paying attention to you and the love you have for your family and friends, God did see.” God used you for many things, mostly to make others laugh, and not one of us was off limits on the jokes.” You can ask all his family and friends that experienced the great laughter.
David passed away suddenly at his home on Tuesday, December 7, 2021. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, “Papa” George Smith, and his uncles, Shawn Smith and Reggie Lucas.
