Dejuan Andrew Cox

Mr. Dejuan Andrew Cox, resident of Columbus, Ohio, departed this life December 7, 2022. He was born in Columbus, Ohio. He was one out of 14 children and he had six other siblings of a blended family. Dejuan he attended Christ Memorial Baptist Church as a youth he was part of the youth choir, mime program, and the Young Davids.

Dejuan also attended Columbus City Schools where he graduated from East High School and Columbus Downtown High School for ROTC class of 2014.  Dejuan just started a new job with Beer Barrel Pizza and Grill at Easton Town Center. He formerly worked for Slammers as a bartender and Rodizio Grill where he made a bond with all the staff and customers.

Dejuan was preceded in death by his beloved father, Aaron E. Ferguson; aunt, Audrey Johnson; uncle, Morris Mack; and his sister-in-law, Latasha Sullivan.  Dejuan leaves to cherish his memory: his loving mother, Regina Ferguson; stepmother, Yolanda (Marvin) Shamika; grandparents, Louie (Barbara) Cox, Diane Brown, Blondene Brown, and Dwaun Mitchell; brothers, Edward, William, Arthur, Demetrius, Brandon, Donavan, Daquan, Elijah, Dontrelle, and Avante; sisters, Latoya, Alicia, Cassandra, Kylie, Monae’, Kelsey, Aariana, Alanna, Marniyah, and Daiyana; godchildren, Jermaine, Jazz, Mia Rose, and Mariah; aunts, LouWonda (Daniel), Edith (godmother), Reverend Angela, and Felicia (Leon); uncle, David Ferguson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

Dejuan had so many best friends that we cannot just name one, please know how much that he loved all of you and you all meant so much to him. Remember all the wonderful memories you had together and just smile because he is smiling back at you.
