Demita Carol Meek

Demita Carol Meek, 56, affectionately known as “Pig,” was born in Columbus, Ohio, on September 18, 1966, to the union of Shirley J. (Lawrence) and Johnny L. Meek. Demita exchanged earthly life for eternal joy on June 4, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Demita C. Meek was a 1985 graduate of East High School and worked for numerous fast food establishments, later retiring as manager at White Castle. It was in her heart to care for family and friends and all those in need, until she was unable to do so. She was greatly loved by all who knew her, because of her warming heart and loyalty to those she called family.

Demita was preceded in death by her parents and twin sister, Bonita.

Left to cherish her memory are: her entire Eastgate family; sons, Gregory and Jovonte; daughters, Temesha, Demika, and Charnaya; grandchildren, Damoni, Kiyan, Germani, Jovaughn, and Geriyah; siblings, Johnny (Michelle) and Sheryl; sisters, Chrystal, Vanessa, and Tracey; brothers, Stanley (Margaret), Jason (Mary), and Lawrence; nieces and nephews, Jonneka, Jennifer, Stevie, Ron-Ron, Tanisha, Stanley, Justin, Chaunte, Christina, Cherelle, Alfred, Cassandra, Cinnamon, Duck, Nekeya, Jonza, Gymetrious, Destiny, Ioanna, Jeff, Isis, Carter, Kobe, Dekimbrey, Dominick, Tatiana, Dimetrious, Jowaun, Jonovan, Jonzelle, Jodeci, J.C., Jonnae, James, Mary, Jamita, Divinity, Imani, Duke, Caydien, MiKing, Jamar, and Victoria; and host of other loved ones.
