Denise Ross

Denise Lorraine Ross was born on March 25, 1954 in Columbus, Oh to her loving parents, Leonard Garfield Ross Sr., and Lorena Winkfield. Denise was a devoted mother, sister, aunt and friend. Denise was employed as a nurse’s assistant at OSU University Hospital, her employment ended due to a back injury. Denise also attended Columbus State Community College until she became ill.

Denise had a special personality, and many interests. She loved music, loved to travel, dance, spending time with her family, and she especially loved her candy “Blow Pops”. Denise enjoyed life, but the joy of her life was her only child, Iesha. Denise’s sudden passing is a great loss to the entire family.

Denise was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 11, 2024, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Iesha Shovonne Hairston; Father, Leonard Garfield Ross Sr.; Mother, Lorena Winkfield;

Loving memories are forever cherished by: her Brother, Leonard Garfield Ross Jr.; Sister’s, Felice Forte, and Quintina Ross. Grandchildren, Donesha Cook, Iyanna Hairston-Cook and Isaiah Mitchell. Nephews, Michael (Mar-Von) Forte, Brandon Ross, and Leonard G. Ross III, Mario Ross; Nieces, Trinetta Forte, Ebony Forte, Deshawna (Ryan) Bailey, Linzie Ross, and Jos’lynn Ross. Also, last but not least, her son-in love, John Rivera. Along with a host of other relatives and friends.
