Obituary

Dreaddi Larcher, a progressive educator and current resident of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on February 26, 2021, at the James CancerTreatment & Research Center.

Dreaddi is survived by her parents Nigel & Veronica Larcher; her brother Imanuel Larcher; Her Grandmother Daphne Larcher, and her two “furbabies,” Kado & Smooches, along with a host of other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her Paternal Grandfather Roland Larcher, Maternal Grandmother Rosalie Samuel & Maternal Grandfather Allan Marcellin.

Dreaddi was Born in Brooklyn, New York and later moved to Ohio by way of her parents. She graduated from Hillard Darby in 2004 and later became a student at The Ohio State University. It was at Ohio State that the passion for education began to blossom. Dreaddi loved children; she served as a director of the All-Star Program, a Youth Coordinator for St. Stephens, A mentor for Girls on the Run, an Instructional Coach for Columbus City Schools, and led a host of other youth-driven development programs. 

Dreaddi was a devoted daughter, sister, friend, and mother to her two dogs Kado and Smooches.  To honestly know Dreaddi, is to know love, in its most organic form. Her family, students, and community will gravely miss her.
