Sister Elizabeth Davis-Muhammad (nee Carter) returned to Allah early Saturday afternoon March 19th, 2022 in her home, in Columbus, OH.
She was born June 16th, 1939 in Dunkirk, NY, to parents George T. Carter Sr. and Hattie E. Carter.
During her childhood the family moved to Jamestown, NY, where she was a resident for over 40 years. During her years in Jamestown, she graduated from Jamestown High School (Class of '57) and was employed at Bigelow's and at McKallor Drug Company.
After her years in Jamestown, she moved to Columbus to live with her daughter Vicki, where she worked at State Auto Insurance and at Columbus State Community College, where she retired after more than 10 years of service.
She enjoyed studying, cooking, traveling and listening to music. But most of all, she enjoyed being a mom and raising her children.
She was a Pioneer member of The Nation of Islam (joining in 1972), where she dutifully laboured as a Mosque (Columbus) MGT Captain, Mosque (Columbus) Secretary, and as a "Soldier." As a Believer, she truly loved the Nation with the Teachings of Honorable Elijah Muhammad through Minister Louis Farrakhan.
She is survived by her son Perry Davis of Buffalo, NY; daughter Vicki Davis-Muhammad of Columbus, OH; sister Betty Carter of Buffalo NY; and many generations of nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: George G. Carter Jr. and Robert L. Carter; and two sisters: Geraldine Thompson and Sister Rosalie Karim.
Sister Elizabeth came and returned to God as a Muslim.
May Allah Be Pleased With Her..
