Emmet Evans Obituary

Emmet James Evans was born on May 21, 1951 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Emmett and Roberta (Shade) Evans. Emmet transitioned from this life on earth on December 9, 2022.

Emmet worked for the City of Columbus for over 30 years until his retirement. Emmet loved playing basketball and enjoyed time with friends and family. He never met a stranger and was known for his charismatic personality. His presence will be missed.

Emmet leaves to cherish his memory daughter LaShawnda (Marcus) Travis of Columbus, OH, son JaJaun Evans of Houston, TX, two grandsons LaShawn Forrest and JaiZaun Martin, three sisters, Eliza Ann (Robert) Jackson of Fort Wayne, IN, Delia Marie (Gregory) Dean of Cincinnati, OH and Camille McGloiry of Palm Springs, CA, a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by parents Emmett and Roberta (Shade) Evans, sister Dorothy Jean Barker, and nephew Brandon McGloiry.
