Guy Anthony “Tony” Oliver, born July 26, 1947, passed away unexpectedly on August 19, 2021. As a proud Navy veteran, loving husband, devoted father, protective brother and loyal friend to many, his brilliance, wisdom, generosity, humor and humanitarian spirit will be greatly missed. He was an avid angler, bibliophile, and plantsman.
Mr. Oliver is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Hammonds, Sr. and Mary Virginia Hammonds (Mock) of Columbus, OH.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife and best friend of 16 years, Carol Oliver (Maziek); daughter, Kimberley Oliver of California; son, Kevin Oliver, Sr. (Crystal) of Georgia; grandchildren, Shealey Oliver, Olivia Oliver, Kevin Oliver Jr., and Taylor Oliver. Siblings Elizabeth Boone (Bernard-dec) of New York; Catherine Clark (Danny); Ronald Hammonds (Winnie-dec.); Christine Hammonds; Thomas Hammonds Sr.; Carl Bruce Hammonds; and Timothy Hammonds, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
