James Anthony Dear was born on September 18, 1976, to Gwendolyn and William Dear, Sr. James attended Columbus Beechcroft High School, where he was a great football and basketball player. He was an avid football fan, and loved his Baltimore Ravens, Dallas Cowboys, and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Also, he was a member of the Brothers of Blanche Addition. He was known for his loving spirit and kind soul. James loved his family, extended family, and friends as well.
James went home to be with the Lord on January 3, 2025.
James was preceded in death by great-grandparents, James and Lillie Barnes and Louisianna Garrett; fraternal grandparents, Charles Dear and Leola Dear-Adams; maternal grandparents, Homer and Virginia Franklin, Sr.; son, Byron Warner; uncles, Charles and James Dear; and aunts, Vivian Franklin, Brenda Dear, and Aurelia Dear.
James leaves to cherish his memory: mother, Gwendolyn Dear; father, William Dear, Sr. (Sharon); ancé, Raynetta Warner; brothers, William, Jr., Daryl (Lea), and Frank (Louise) Dear; sons, Kayson, Brandon, Blake, Brantley, and Warner; daughter, Briana Warner; aunts, Bonita, Charlotte Franklin, Joyce omas, Lillie Dear, and Donna (Paulette) Dear; uncles, Michael (Jane) Dear and Homer Franklin, Jr; godfather, James (Vanessa) Booker; best friend, Tremaine Roland; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and grandchildren that will miss him dearly.
