Jayson Moore

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of JAYSON DANIEL MOORE on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at the age of 41. Jayson was born in Columbus, Ohio, and graduated from Beechcroft High School. He was employed at Columbus Ohio Psychiatric Hospital, where his kindness and compassion touched the lives of many. Jayson was a loving, hardworking and generous man who had a passion for cooking and helping others.  He enjoyed helping others and found joy in life’s simple pleasures, like good food, spending time with loved ones, and going to different casino events. His warm spirit, infectious laughter, and adventurous nature will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his father, Benjamin L. Moore Sr.; his mother, Janet Ware Moore; and his nephew, Tyron Sowell.

Jayson is survived by his beloved children, Jaelyn Moore, Kaden Stanton, Jayse Moore, and Jaxson Moore; granddaughter, Jazlynn Moore; his devoted siblings, Rona Moore, Benjamin Moore Jr., and Lori Moore; and his mother, Marilyn (Melvin) Gravely.

He also leaves behind his siblings, Eric Hilton, Ronda Hill, and Fredrika Kagai, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a large extended family. mothers of his children, Sarah VanHorne, Danie-Jo Stanton and Keirsten Henry; his best friends, Rayona Thompson and Daria Reeves; and many others who will always cherish his memory.

Jayson’s kindness, laughter, and warm spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. Jayson’s legacy of love, compassion, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.  May he rest in eternal peace.
