Jeannine Elizabeth Taylor

Jeannine Elizabeth Taylor, 56 of Gahanna, Ohio left this world to be with the Lord on October 13, 2023.  She was surrounded by family and friends at her home in Gahanna.  Jeannine was a person of few words, but always got her point across.  She was loved and cherished by many.  Jeannine loved to decorate her home with vibrant colors and help her friends decorate their homes, as well.  Jeannine was also an excellent cook.  She hosted Thanksgiving and Christmas for the family every year for the past 25 years and refused to have anyone bring food to the house.  She would prepare everything.

Jeannine grew up in Columbus, Ohio and graduated from Bishop Hartley High School in 1985.  She was on the Drill Team and selected as Homecoming Queen.  After high school she attended Ohio State University on an academic scholarship, but later transferred to Ohio Dominican University where she received her bachelor’s degree in business administration in 1990.  Jeannine was a scholar, going through high school and college maintaining a 3.9 gpa.  Jeannine was a Christian and gave her life to the Lord at an early age at St. Philips Lutheran Church where she still attended.  One of her quotes was “God has the final word”.

Jeannine was looking forward to retiring on October 31st.  She was planning to volunteer at the day care where she would care for babies, “she loved babies” and traveling with her husband.

Jeannine spent 33 years working for DSCC in several roles.  At the time of her passing, she was the Chief of DLA Training Operations Support Division.  She also mentored up and coming employees.

Jeannine is predeceased by her grandparents, Melvin and Mary Mizelle, John and Henrietta Jennings, daughter, Dominica Jae Taylor and the recent passing of her father, Michael Jennings.  She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 25 years, Michael Taylor, two sons, Clifford Jordan Jennings and Dominic Taylor, Granddaughter, Carma Jordan Jennings, Mother Joanne M. Jennings, favorite cousin, MaryBeth Caine, best friend Kim Robinson and a host of friends and relatives.
