Jenelle S. Adkins

Jenelle Steele-Adkins was born on September 13, 1961 to the union of the late Reverend Raymond Steele Sr. and Evelyn (Wilcoxen) Steele in Columbus, Ohio. She went home to be with
the Lord Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Licking Memorial Hospital.

Jenelle accepted Christ at an early age and attended First Church of God, where her father, the late Rev. Raymond Steele Sr. was the Pastor.

She graduated from South High School and from the Columbus Para-Professional Institute.

Jenelle retired from the State of Ohio, Department of Health after 30 years of service. She enjoyed baking, spending time with her family and friends and especially her grandson, Tyrell;
who she adored.

She was preceded in death by father, Rev. Raymond Steele, Sr. and mother, Evelyn Steele.

Jenelle leaves to mourn her passing, but to celebrate her life, daughter, Talia Adkins; sister, Karen Steele-Hicks, brothers, Raymond Jr. (Patricia), Mark (Tina) and Timothy (Lisa) Steele; all
of Columbus, Ohio and John Steele of Nashville, Tennessee; grandson, Tyrell Nall; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

“God knew that you were tired and the hills were hard to climb. He gently closed your weary eyes and whispered peace be thine”.
