Jeremiah Williams Obituary

Jeremiah “Jerry” Lavell Williams was born on May 7, 2001 in Columbus, Ohio. Jeremiah entered this world being birthed in home, to his mother LaTasha, with the help of his big sister, Tanaisha. Jeremiah attended Academy for Urban Scholars (AUS) and had dreams of owning his own business. On February 3, 2020, at the tender age of eighteen, Jeremiah was called home to be with the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Jeremiah accepted Christ in his life in 2018. He was very adamant about his aunt Lisa taking not only himself but his friends and family to church as well. Because of his dedication to Christ, he was able to witness to those whom he loved, most of whom were saved at Holy Miracle Church of God.

In 2008, Jeremiah played football for the Buckeyes and loved going to practice every day. Jeremiah was a jokester who loved to tell jokes and make people laugh. His appearance meant a lot and he prided himself in always having a fresh haircut, new clothes, and matching shoes. He loved playing his X-Box, listening to music, and talking on the phone.

Jeremiah touched a lot of lives and his smile captured not only the world but the heart of his niece, Rylee. Jeremiah, although not having children, affectionately called her daughter and treated her as his own. He loved her so much! He also shared a special bond with his cousin, Keithy, who he treated as another brother. Jeremiah was lucky to find the love of his life, Za’nea “Mook”. He will be truly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him.

Jeremiah is preceeded in death by his great grandfathers, Mr. John Ellis Hairston and Mr. Robert Lee Hairston; grandfather, Mr. Blaine Hairston, Sr.; great grandmothers, Mrs. Virginia Hairston and Mrs. Elaine Rucker Hairston; uncle, Mr. Reginald Hairston, and brother, Mr. James “Champy” Miller Jr.
