John Wooten, Jr.

John Wooten, Jr. “Junior” was born April 29, 1943, in Columbus, Ohio, to John and Beatrice Wooten. He received his formal education, graduated high school; and met Christ at an early age.

He was an original member of St. John Baptist Church. He was baptized by his grandfather, Rev. N.W. Wooten. John worked at the Harsco Company as well as the Greyhound Bus Station. Junior was a loving person. He enjoyed life and all types of music. Junior loved his family and cherished making memories with them.

On Monday, November 30, 2020, at 9:30 a.m., God called Junior home to rest after a long illness. Junior will be sadly missed. He was a fun loving person.

He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, who raised him, Rev. N.W. Wooten and Mrs. Maggie Wooten. Junior leaves to cherish his memories: his loving family and a host of cousins, other family, and friends.
