Mrs. Juanita H. Robinson departed this earthly realm on November 24, 2023 at Mount Carmel East Hospital, Columbus, OH. Juanita was born on June 21, 1946 in Little Rock, Arkansas, to parents William Herron and Beulah (Woods) Herron. Juanita was a 1963 graduate of South High School (Youngstown, OH). On August 10, 1963 she married the love of her life, Petty Officer I.C. William C. Robinson. Juanita became an LPN and worked at the Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, VA, working close to her husband on the base. Juanita and William traveled and lived in various states due to military life.
Juanita re-located back to Youngstown, OH after the death of her husband, Jan. 1971. Desiring more for her career, Juanita attended Youngstown State University and earned her RN license on March 17,1982. After graduating, she worked at Trumbull Memorial Hospital (Warren, OH); Ashley Health Care Place (Austintown, OH); Northside (Critical Care) and Southside Hospitals (Youngstown, OH).
Juanita was also a faithful member of New Bethel Baptist Church, Youngstown, OH, under Pastors Lonnie A. Simon & Kenneth L. Simon. Juanita was a Youth Group leader; member of the Instruments of Praise; Hospitality Team member, and a loyal Trustee. After retiring in 2010, Juanita re-located to Reynoldsburg, OH to be with her family and became a member of First Church of God, Columbus, OH, Bishop Timothy J. Clarke, Pastor.
Juanita loved to travel; cook; crafting; bowling; shooting pool; playing her organ and singing to her patients. Juanita leaves to cherish her legacy, her daughter, LaChelle D. Robinson-Stearns; grandson, Terry V. Pearson; great-grandson, Taylor M. Pearson; her older brother, Rev. James E. Herron Sr. (Ruby).
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, William Herron and Beulah (Woods) Herron; daughter, Renae D. Robinson; husband William C. Robinson; two older sisters, Cremolia Johnson Winkfield; Johnetta Brock; and older brother, Clarence A. Johnson; grand-daughter, LaNise C. Stearns; and a niece, Rosetta Winkfield Adkins.
Juanita leaves special friends, Barbara Hills and Mrs. Hattie Thorpe. A special thank you to her faithful caregivers, Jessica Turner; Mrs. Lotteia-Ealey-Earl; Losie V. Rivers; Jodelle Adkins; LaKashia Shavers; Katherine Nash; and her loving daughter, LaChelle. Leaving a host of nieces, nephews, God-children and friends.
