Juwana L Tate

Juwana LeVerne Tate was born on July 5, 1973, in Flint, Michigan, and transitioned peacefully on January 1, 2026. Though Flint was her birthplace, Juwana made Columbus, Ohio, her home for 33 years, where she built a life filled with family, friendships, and lasting memories.

Juwana was a proud graduate of Beecher High School in Mount Morris, Michigan. She went on to build a dedicated career and was employed with United Healthcare, where she was respected for her commitment and work ethic.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory her son, Jawan D. Whittler Tate; three beloved grandchildren, Mailani Wallace, Naila Wallace, and Tylan Patterson; sisters, Ligeesha Tate, Harmony Tate, and Fresha Tate; brother, Deonta Tate; along with a host of extended family members, dear friends, and loved ones who will forever hold her in their hearts.

Juwana was preceded in death by her mother, Gloria Tate; father, Dennis Waters; grandmother, Roberta Tyler; sister, Ruby Tate; and brother, Rou Maeo Tate.

Juwana LeVerne Tate will be remembered for her loving spirit, resilience, and the deep love she had for her family. Her legacy lives on through the lives she touched and the love she shared.
