Kasey Edward Turner was born October 24,1971 in Columbus, Ohio to Beverly Turner. He entered his eternal life on September 2, 2021. He is preceded in death by mother, Beverly Turner; grandparents, James and Betsy Turner.
At an early age, he was baptized at Love Zion Missionary Baptist Church. This is when he learned and developed a relationship with Christ that sustained him through life challenges. He graduated from East High School and worked several jobs before he settled in at The Ohio State University. He was employed with OSU for 23 years with plans of retiring in 2 years. Kasey was passionate about cooking his delicious home-cooked from the grill, music (even as a DJ), basketball, and family gatherings.
He was one of a kind and the life of any gathering. He enjoyed fatherhood, kids, and making a difference in the life of others. He was a die-hard devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Even though he worked at The Ohio State University, it didn’t stop his love for being a supportive, well-known true Michigan fan.
Kasey could walk into any room and make you laugh. His affectionate smile and demeanor always encouraged others. His love for family and friends will never be forgotten. If you see Kasey, you seen his brother, Robert. That was a genuine representation of brotherly love. Kasey instilled those same values of loving God first, family second, and caring for others with his son Mychal and those he encountered.
Kasey leaves to cherish his memories: his only child Mychal Kasey Carlock, Sr.; grandsons Mychal Kasey Carlock, Jr., and DeKari Kasey Smith; Momma Susie Bibins; brother, Robert Meyers; sisters. Anji (Leroy) McGraw and Donita (Zema) Bivins; nephews, Alon, D’yonmarte’, Alijah, and Dyson; nieces, LaSheka and Alleayah; mother of his son, Monica Carlock; special friend, Kim Philiopoulos; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, co-workers and friends.
