Katherine Martin

Our beloved katherine Martin departed this life to be with the Lord on October 2, 2020. She passed peacefully in her home, surrounded by loved ones. She was preceded in death by her mother, Blanche Kibby, sister, Mary French, and sons, Martin Smith, Allen Smith, and Killy Whiteous.

Katherine was a hard worker and embodied courage and strength. She was resilient and fearless. As a mother of twelve children, she was a protector and adored her many grandchildren. She was young at heart and ahead of her time. You might remember her as a fashionista, writer, or artist, but her biggest accomplishment was winning souls to Christ. As a prayer warrior, she lived to be pleasing in the eyes of God. She wanted all to experience the magnitude of God’s love!

As a mother, sister, and friend, she was survived by: sister, Lucille Bivens; brother, Frances Martin; daughters, Quinzella Smith, Valerie Smith, Karen Turner, Tascha Tucker, and Dionne Diggs; and sons, Paul Smith, David Smith, and Charles Whiteous.
