Kevin Louis Hancock, also known as Kev-V-Kev to those who knew him best, was born on July 29, 1968 in Columbus, Ohio. He was the second oldest child and the only male born to Sharon L. Hancock.
Kevin accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord at a young age. Kevin attended multiple Columbus Public schools. As a child Kevin had the wisdom of laughter and he carried that wisdom throughout his life. He could make you laugh without putting any effort into whatever it was he was saying or doing. Being the only male child raised amongst three sisters Kevin was a protector and as a protector he was always willing to put on his armor for his family and friends. Kevin also had a listening ear for music, enjoyed cooking and was very passionate about spending time with family and friends.
He is proceeded in death by his Grandfather, James Hancock Sr., Grandmother Ethel Inez Hancock, Aunt Frankie Steele, Uncle Larry “Popcorn” Hancock, his oldest Sister Kimara “Kim” Lee Hancock, and Son Brandon Lee Bridges.
He leaves to cherish his memories his Son Kevin (Tyerica) Dyson; Daughter Tyrecia Johnson; Mother Sharon L. Hancock; Sisters Karla (Galen) Hancock-Gibbs and Kristie Hancock; Grandson Kevy’Ante Dyson, Tyjshawn Barrett, Tyleeya Harris, Nylah Blanding; Bonus Grands Brayden and Tykeis; Nephews Kevyn and K’Shawn Hancock, Keyonte and Keyondre McFadden; Nieces Kandie Hancock, Kandalyn (Dwain) Robinson and Keyara Hancock; a host of Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, Great Nieces, Great Nephews; Special Life Friends Michelle Dyson, Tasha Bond and Monty Saunders.
