Kezia Lavette Meek was born May 4, 1973. She attended Marion-Franklin High School and went on to graduate from Honduras College with a degree in nursing. She was employed at The Bing Cancer Center as an RN.
How ironic.
Her goal was to become a hospice nurse. Kezia was a won- derful wife, mother, daughter, and friend. Being the caring and loving person she was, made her a genuine, compassionate person. She had a special bond with everyone she knew, and each relationship was different. She had a very low tolerance for fakeness.
She enjoyed NBA basketball while talking with her mom during commercial breaks. She was an avid Buckeye fan and could get real rowdy during the game. She also enjoyed traveling, not only with family but also her “Flossy Posse”, a.k.a., Trina, Renee, and Cameron. They would vacation and come back home with great stories, the kind of stories that you could talk about for years. Those memories will last forever.
Kezia invested her life in making her family better. She spoiled and loved her husband, sons, daughter, and mother unconditionally. Alvin said that he is a better person because of her challenging him to reach his goals.
When she realized that her body was shutting down, and he asked her how was he to go on without her, she told him to “push on”. He does not know where this lonely path will take him, because he is lost without her. She brought out the best in him—not only him, but also her family and friends will not only draw strength from how she coura geously dealt with cancer, but we will always cherish our memories that will comfort us, and we have some great and funny memories to hold onto. We encourage all to do the same
